My feeling on English writing
悬赏分:0 - - 阅读次数:
It seems that the most difficult language skill for an ESL student is the writing skill. Here I would like to share some of my ideas on how to practice.

At first, you need to think in English, which means to forget that you are a Chinese (even though you are), then try to write it down. Learn to think like a native from an English speaking country can be the best way to study that language for those who look english as a second language.

Next, do not stop reading. Making Reading one of your hobbies can be a great help  since those articles and books make you see the way in which those native speakers think and express. But if you are just starting your journey of studying english. The recommendation should be given of spending more of your spare time on reading than writing.

Thirdly, I find that to speak with and listen to those natives can also be a help, for the written english is more like the spoken one in syntax than what you thought it should have been. That means the most foundamental part of writing could be to write down what you wish to speak.

Finally, Those quotes and poets are great sentences, but bear in mind while you use them that much of them were composed in some abnormal ways of sentence structure, which can be different from those we run into each day.  If becoming a newspaper editor or a professional writer is not your dream, it is not necessarily appropriate to imitate the ways those poets and authors do.

                                My perception of English writing
It seems that writing skill is extremely difficult to master for an ESL student. Here,I would like to share some personal experience about how to improve it.
Firstly, you need to think in English as if you were a thoroughly native speaker, and then write down what you've come up with.In my opinion,it's the best way to learn a second language.
Secondly, take reading as a long-term job.Reading widely can be of great help, since local articles and books help you understand the way in which those native speakers think and express better.Especially, if you are just starting your journey of studying english,my recommendation is that you should spend more time on reading before you pick up your pen.
Thirdly,I find that to speak with and listen to those natives can also be helpful, for the written english is more like the spoken one in terms of syntax than what you thought it should have been. It means that the most fundamental part of writing is to write down what you want to say.
Finally, those quotes and poets are powerful sentences, but bear in mind while you use them.Because most of them are composed in some abnormal sentence structures, which can easily puzzle us. If becoming a newspaper editor or a professional writer is not your dream, it is not necessary to imitate them. You'd better develop your own style!
(YOU HAVE A LOT OF COMPLEX AND GOOD SENTENCES IN THIS ESSAY,CONGRATULATIONS!BUT PAY ATTENTION TO SOME SILLY MISTAKES!COME ON!!!)

采纳 Hi littletree,

I have just read your article. I think that your article is very difficult to understand for us. Because you use many complex sentences. So it seems rafferty. If you use some simple sentenes more, readers will take it easy.

it is not necessarily.... In this word, you have a mistake. The word 'necessarily' should be 'necessary'.

I will back you up ever.
